Bangladeshi citizens need a valid visa to enter Denmark. As Denmark is part of the Schengen Area, a visa issued by Denmark allows Bangladeshi travelers to visit other Schengen countries for up to 90 days. The Danish Embassy is situated in Dhaka, Bangladesh, but the Denmark Visa Application Center processes visa applications on behalf of the embassy. Applicants must submit their visa applications in person. For more information, please refer to the article.
Step 1: Determine Your Visa Type
Selecting the appropriate visa category is crucial for your visa application. Visit the Denmark Visa Application Center's website to choose the correct visa category, as different types require different documents and have varying application processes
Step 2: Complete the Application Form
Once you’ve chosen your visa type, access the online application form. For a short-term Denmark visa, fill out the form on “Apply Visa.” For a long-term visa, use the form on “NewToDenmark.” Complete the form carefully with accurate information, then download and print it.
If applying for a visa to Greenland or the Faroe Islands in conjunction with a Schengen visa, you need to submit just one application. Use “ApplyVisa” for this purpose. The Danish mission handles visa applications for Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
Step 3: Pay the Visa Fee
While filling out the online application, make your visa fee payment through an online transaction. Print the receipt as you'll need it when you visit the Visa Application Center. Additionally, a service fee is required at the center.
Step 4: Prepare Your Documents
Review your checklist and gather the necessary documents. Ensure that all documents are translated into English and properly notarized.
.
Step 5: Submit Your Application and Provide Biometrics

if applying for a Greenland or Faroe Islands visa, select Denmark as your main destination in the application form but inform the staff of your final destination when submitting your application.
Step 6: Retrieve Your Passport
After submitting your application, wait for the visa decision. Once it's ready, collect your passport in person from the Visa Application Center.
