Germany, with the largest economy in Europe, attracts many foreigners looking to explore opportunities there. If you are a Bangladeshi citizen seeking a German visa, this article will guide you through the process.
A German visa allows you to visit other Schengen countries due to the Schengen agreement. In Bangladesh, both the German Embassy and the Visa Application Center are available. For short-term or Schengen visas, applications are processed by the Germany Visa Application Center in Bangladesh. For long-term visas, applications are managed by the German Embassy in Bangladesh.
Applicants must submit their visa applications and documents in person at either the embassy or the visa application center. The German visa is a sticker affixed inside the applicant’s passport.
Step 1: Germany Short-Term Visa Application

2:Gather the required documents, translate them into German or English, and notarize them.
3:Complete the Germany visa application form online, then print and sign it.
4:Schedule your appointment on the German Visa Application Center website.
5:Visit the visa application center in person to submit the required documents.
6:Provide your biometric information.
7:Pay your visa fee at the visa application center on the day of your appointment.
8:Wait for the visa decision and collect your passport.
Step 2: Germany Long-Term Visa Applications
The submission process for long-term or national German visa applications differs from that for Schengen visas. Follow these steps to apply for a long-term Germany visa:
1:Visit the German Embassy Bangladesh website.
2:Complete the Germany long-term visa application form online, then print and sign it.

5:Personally visit the Embassy to submit the required documents.
6:Provide your biometric information.
7:Pay your visa fee in cash on the appointment day.
8:Wait for the visa decision and collect your passport.
