The German Visa Application Center in Bangladesh accepts Schengen visa applications from Bangladeshi citizens. Follow these steps to apply for a German visa from Bangladesh:

3:Complete the Germany visa application form online, then print and sign it.

The submission process for long-term or national German visa applications differs from that for Schengen visas. Follow these steps to apply for a long-term Germany visa:

3:Gather the required documents, translate them into German or English, and notarize them.
4:Schedule your appointment on the German Embassy Bangladesh website.
5:Personally visit the Embassy to submit the required documents.
6:Provide your biometric information.
7:Pay your visa fee in cash on the appointment day.
8:Wait for the visa decision and collect your passport.

The fee for a short-term or Schengen Germany visa for Bangladeshi citizens is BDT 9,600, payable at the Germany Visa Application Center. Additionally, there is a service fee for the Visa Application Center that must be paid per application. In contrast, the fee for a long-term German visa is BDT 8,910. The German Embassy reserves the right to change these fees at any time. Please note that visa fees must be paid in Bangladeshi Taka and are subject to change without prior notice. Ensure you bring the correct amount in cash, as card transactions are not accepted.
The processing time for a Schengen or short-term Germany visa is typically 15 to 20 working days. In contrast, processing for long-term German visas takes between 30 to 90 working days. Processing times may vary in certain cases, so it is recommended to apply well in advance, but no more than six months before your planned travel date.
