Tourist Visa Requirement

Passport:

An original passport is valid for at least six months after the departure date and at least two blank pages for the visa stamp.

• Copy of past passports and given visas.
• Join all (if any) your old passports.
• If a visa application is denied it would prefer specifics of the original letter issued by the authorities of that country

France Visa Application Form:

The applicant must complete and sign the visa application form.

Photo Specification:

Two new matt or semi-matted images, 60 to 80 percent of the profile, white background, and borderless (size: 35 mm x 45 mm).

Note: photograph should not be older than 3 months, should be scanned/stapled and should not be used for the previous visas. Please note:

Covering-Letter:

Cover letter from applicant’s name, title, number of passport, intent and explanation of the person responsible for all travel costs-transport, lodging, expenses, etc. Sent to – Visa Officer, French Embassy, Dhaka.

Invitation Letter:

Show invitation later (In case of Any)

Forwarding-Letter:

• Sending of Letter / NOC from the corporate authority of the applicant on the heading of the company letter with the name, description, passport number, intention, and length of visit of the applicant.
• Visa submission letter from the teacher or student card/proof of school registration (if student)

Proof of Occupation:

• Company registration certificate (original notary and original photocopy) whether the applicant is a first-time visitor or proprietor. Business registration certificate
• Copy of Office ID and Visitor Cards.

Financials:

• Company or Declaration of Personal Banking for six months, showing specifically the name of the Bank, the telephone number of the Bank.
• Last six months’ payslip. (In case of Any)

Compulsory appointments at the Visa section:

The new waiting time for a visa appointment to this Embassy is 3 weeks, due to a rise in the application number. As it takes 1 week for visas to be processed from the application date, applicants are encouraged to appoint as soon as possible and to set a timetable accordingly.

Since the French Embassy issues biometric visas, fingerprints have to be obtained. After a required appointment, each applicant should then apply in person. Depending on the type of visa application, there are two ways to make an appointment.

Please bring your passport with you before making your appointment. A Schengen visa takes seven days, there is no practicable exception. Enable two to three weeks of visa processing for long-stay visas. The Schengen visa (90 days) is valid for short stays in France. Although you have to apply for a visa from France when applying for a long stay.
